What does it offer?

The University of Sydney is an Australian public university in Sydney. Founded in 1850, it is Australia's first university and is regarded as one of its most prestigious. In 2013, it was ranked 38th and in the top 0.3% in the QS World University Rankings.

The University comprises 16 faculties and schools, through which it offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

Sydney is a member of Australia's Group of Eight, Academic Consortium 21, the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) and the Worldwide Universities Network.

Where is it located?

The University of Sydney has several campuses and teaching facilities spread across greater Sydney, but most of their faculties and student support services are based on the Camperdown and Darlington campuses. In many ways this campus is like a small town – it even has its own postcode. The campus is just a 15-minute bus ride from central Sydney (or a 10-minute walk from Redfern train station).
